Carsten Korch: Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer
It is no exaggeration to call Carsten one of Peru's leading international ambassadors and enthusiasts. Since his arrival to the country in 2002 when he fell in love with the picturesque Inca Empire, he has enthusiastically engaged himself in Peruvian society in which he has become a very active member in a variety of civil groups including the Rotary Club Lima Sunrise.
His growing fascination with the country led him to create the online English news magazine: Livinginperu.com in 2005 that in addition to covering Peruvian news, offers a travel section with lots of news, stories and practical information about traveling in Peru. In 2009 Carsten came up with the idea to publish a book on Peru, "101 Reasons to be Proud of Peru", which has been read by over 100,000 people around the world. He followed this success in 2010 with the e-travel guide: "Do Peru - 101 Experiences".
However, his big discovery and passion has been the Peruvian cuisine that never stops to surprise and excite him. Peruvian food for him is for him an endless culinary adventure, which he sincerely hopes and in many cases insists that others must try. For Carsten "Peru is a country that has it all - jungle, beaches and mountain landscapes - it's simply the most beautiful country of unlimited possibilities in terms of culture, nature and culinary tastes."
Carsten is a co-founder and co-owner of Peru Experience and has worked several years in tourism, both as a guide in Southern Europe and as a hotel manager in Denmark.
