This tour offers you the possibility to discover some of the best attractions of Lima’s historical center, a Unesco World Heritage site. You will walk through the historic down town's squares and streets admiring the typical balconies and the beautiful colonial churches. We will visit a series of sites that represent different eras of the city’s rich past including: Plaza San Martín, the most beautiful square in the downtown area built in honor of Peru’s 100th anniversary as an independent nation; Casa Aliaga, the oldest family owned home in the Americas; Plaza de Armas and its surroundings, San Francisco Church, the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo church; Casa Osambela, a colonial home owned by the top merchant in Lima during that era; Hotel Bolivar, to learn how to make Peru's national drink, the Pisco Sour, and try it out for yourself.
*If your particular interests include more architecture, history, culture, etc. we can tweak this tour to include what interests you the most. We can also arrange to have cocktails and h'ors d'oeuvres prepared at Casa Aliaga for your visit for an additional cost.

“I had a great time walking around Lima's downtown - it's like a stroll through the past (with a lot more traffic!). The colonial downtown is such a contrast from the modern city of Lima. I especially loved visiting the San Francisco Church's underground catacombs with skeletons. The guide was very friendly, super informative, and entertaining.”
